Skool Disco
Limelight
11th March 2010
Tickets £3.00 - Doors 10.00pm

Skool Disco at Limelight runs 2nd Thursday of every month.
The monthly mix of 'behind the bike sheds-based shenanigans' launched on St Valentine's Night in 2002 and has since become one of Belfast's most popular midweek club nights.

The mix of music, ranging from 70s and 80s cheesy pop and disco, 90s old skool rave anthems and the best dance floor anthems from the past 10 years, is provided by head boys Dave and Pat (the oldest schoolboys in town who find themselves being kept back in 6th form for yet another year!).

Skool Disco has recently adopted 2010's phenomenal comedy/drama smash hit TV series Glee as a monthly theme, encouraging clubbers to dress as their favourite 'jock' or 'geek' character from the show, as well as playing out cast-versions of some of the show's big numbers, including 'Don't Stop Believin', 'Gold Digger' and 'Take A Bow'.

Regulars will be familiar with the club's traditions, such as the ever-growing conga line, snaking throughout the club whenever Paul Simon's Call Me Al is played, Rock The Boat, the Rocky theme tune and the blur of glow sticks which accompanies Scooter's Logical Song.

Other attractions include the Drumstick lollies and jelly snakes from the tuck shop, cartoon visuals and the ever-popular drinks promotions.
